The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for the prevention, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation of City of New Braunfels emergency incidents.

The Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) is responsible for the Coordination and Cooperation with emergency mangement partners at all levels of government.

We are also responsible for the Alert Notification Siren System, Citizen Preparedness Training, Development of Standard Operating Guides, Emergency Operation Plan Development, Emergency Operations Center, Mitigation Planning, Situational Awareness Monitoring and Staff Training.
