The following are planning-related issues during development. Under certain circumstances, deviations to the requirements may be authorized through a variance or appeal.

Nonresidential and Multi-Family Building Design Standards
The city adopted standards in August 2007 in an attempt to make development more attractive and aesthetically pleasing. Regulations include horizontal articulation, vertical articulation, and architectural elements.

• Chapter 114, Street, Sidewalks, and Other Public Places includes driveway spacing requirements and new access management regulations.
